* Names Have Been Changed To Protect The Giggling

I know I posted this on Thursday, but I've submitted it to Navel Gazing's Very Funny Friday!

If you've already read it, act surprised, then go check out the rest of the giggles.

*************************

My sweet new (to me) ride has finally arrived, so Monkey and I took it out for a spin yesterday.

As we were meandering through the aisles of my local Target, I overheard another mom reaching the ubiquitous parental end point with her preschooler.

"Susie*, get over here now or I will make you sit in the cart."

(pause)

"I am giving you to the count of three."

(pause)

One... Two...

And knowing what was coming, I held my breath and silently begged Monkey not to do it.

Alas, to no avail.

He smiled his megawatt smile and proudly shouted,

"THREE!"

(sigh)

On a side note, it's really hard to admonish your child when you're gasping for air and it's coming out,

"Nuh-uh-oh! St-t-t-t-t-aaaawp! Mon-k-ke-e-e! Sh-sh-sh-uh!"
