*Insert Bad Words Here*

Apparently making a grand declaration of intent does not amuse the powers that be.

I wasn't supposed to post this weekend.

I was supposed to be doing maintenance.

I was supposed to be getting my next summary ready.

I was definitely not supposed to hear the words

harddrive corruption.

There were tears, threats of hardware being flung from the roof, and I may or may not have consumed a Frappucino shotgun style... I blacked out sometime after my uber-techie Hubby uttered the phrase, "I can't fix this."

So I'm here, but I'm on a Franken-Laptop for a while.

It's blogging, old school.

I might as well be sending smoke signals.

Best go find two sticks, just in case.

  2. Hang in there girl. Computers are only as smart as we make them-I am confident you will find a way. I found your blog through Emma P and loved what I read. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Smoke signals is similiar to blogging in that many people can be "reading," and you don't exactly know who! I hope the computer pulls through!

  9. I hate it when technology fails us. I just had Money erase all my financial files. Maybe it is my computer's way of protecting me from the cold hard truth of today's economy:-) Good luck getting everything back:-)

  10. Nothing puts me in a foul mood faster than computer problems. My husband knows how to turn on a computer and that's it. When something fails in the house, he leaves it up to me to wave a magic wand and fix it. Sometimes my magic wand is a big stick from the backyard that I use to whack our computers with until they behave. Sorry to hear about the troubles.

  11. I had that happen to me over the summer. And I was sure that I had just lost all the pictures from our month at the beach. But an even ubier (love makin' up new words!) geek than my hubby managed to fix the thing that went bad. And I am up and running again. I am still contemplating a move to a mac because windows sucks!

  13. I got my earrings today, so I will be posting about them tomorrow on my blog. Thank you so much. I was wondering what are the posts you use, are they hypo-allergenic? For some reason I am usually allergic to anything not gold, but when I put them on, they felt great. I really like them, and can't wait to go out of the house wearing them. Sorry about your computer problems, I am working on getting my stuff backed up, but I have like 21.6 GB of stuff on my storage drive (16.2 GB is pictures), and not much time during the day to get it done. Good luck.
    Hugs, Amy ;)
