Soooo...

I appear to have a rather large list of blog and craft goals for '09.

(Don't we all?)

I want to make Oh2122 accessible and efficient and - let's face it - cute!

I have re-added the "Follow" feature to my blog. It's still doing slightly wacky things to my Google Reader, but I'm getting used to it and will leave it be for now. I also want to add the CommentLuv feature that displays a commenter's last post as well as go to a neater 3 column format.

I've even invested in HTML, XHTML & CSS For Dummies so I can finally roll my sleeves up and dig in to my code. This is a major step for someone who only ever failed one class in her whole academic career. Computer Programming.

Ironic, no?

Then there's the ever growing crafty list. Aside from the organizational projects I have lined up for our home office, I want to:

Refine my current primary skill set:
* Jewelry
* Crochet
* Photography

Try the following new skills:
* Polymer clay beads
* Paper beads
* Paper crafts, including but not limited to:
- cards
- beads
- quilling
* Actually learn how to knit
* Finally use my sewing machine for more than just hemming pants
* More green crafting

Ambitious, yes?

I've been raiding my library's inter-library loan system, and I'm bookmarking every half-interesting project and resource I can find.

Do you have a favorite craft resource? Was the last craft book you bought just awful? Have you found the ultimate online craft resource?

I'd love to hear from you all!

  1. Good luck on the redesign! I just completed mine and it was quite the daunting taks!

  2. I hire out. For blog design. And crafts. Can I still be a reader? :-)

  3. You are ambitious! I'm not particularly crafty, unless I know exactly what I want. Same thing with the blog: I'll tweak here and there as I see fit, but no big modifications done by me.

  4. This is a great list! I should make a list of all the new things I want to tackle, too!

    May 2009 be utterly successful for you!

  5. well, that list will keep you busy :-) Good luck on the book - they always send me to sleep, and I worked as a programmer (many moons ago)
    My favourite sewing resource online is the Sew Mama Sew blog. So many possibilities... :-)

  6. I totally want to have that comment form at the bottom of my posts too but I have NO CLUE how to do that!

    As for crafty stuff...my biggest inspiration is my dear friend, Nichole. Her blog is http://www.nicholeheady.typepad.com/ (and I do NOT mean to advertise - just to answer your question). Nichole is amazingly talented and I love her style.
